Lead licensing in Florida
Florida does not run its own lead certification program. EPA administers both the abatement program and the renovation, repair and painting rules in Florida, so a firm working on a home built before 1978 is certified by EPA rather than by the state. You can look up firms in EPA's Lead-Safe Certified Firm locator. Homeowners doing their own work in their own home are generally outside the rule. Check EPA's site for current requirements.
