Mold licensing in Florida
Florida licenses mold work. The Department of Business and Professional Regulation issues separate Mold Assessor and Mold Remediator licenses, and state law defines those services for mold growth over 10 square feet. A remediator also needs a general contractor license for any work that requires one. Use the DBPR license search to check the license on record, including the type and expiration, and check the agency's site for current requirements and exemptions.
