Lead licensing in Alabama
Alabama runs its own lead contractor certification program through the Department of Public Health. Firms that do lead inspections, risk assessments, abatement or renovation in homes built before 1978 and in child-occupied facilities must be certified, and the work must be done by accredited individuals working for certified firms. The department posts a list of certified lead firms, so you can check the certification on record. Check the department's site for current requirements.
