Asbestos licensing in Indiana
Indiana requires people and companies that work with asbestos, such as contractors, project supervisors, workers and inspectors, to hold a license from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. Owners of noncommercial residential buildings with four or fewer dwelling units are not required to get an asbestos license for demolition or renovation on their own property. Use IDEM's instructions for the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency database to check the license on record, and check IDEM's site for current requirements.
