Asbestos licensing in Connecticut
Connecticut requires asbestos contractors and asbestos consultants to hold a license from the Department of Public Health, and abatement workers and supervisors to hold department certificates. Abatement involving more than three linear feet or three square feet must be done by an asbestos contractor holding a state license, using certified workers. The state's eLicense site lets you generate a roster of asbestos professionals and see the license on record. Check the department's site for current requirements.
