Lead licensing in Missouri
Missouri's Department of Health and Senior Services licenses lead abatement professionals, including supervisors, workers, inspectors, risk assessors and project designers, who must train with a state-accredited provider. Renovation, repair and painting that disturbs old paint falls under EPA's federal Lead-Safe program instead. The department posts searchable directories of lead professionals with licenses on record, so you can check the license on record, and EPA has a locator for renovation firms. Check the agencies' sites for current requirements.
