Asbestos licensing in Alabama
Alabama requires asbestos removal contractors to be certified by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management for removal projects that require notification under state rules, and the certification is renewed every year. The supervisors and workers on the job must also hold current accreditation from the state-approved training program. State rules put the responsibility on the project owner or operator to make sure the people doing the work are certified. We did not find a public roster, so ask the company for its ADEM certification and check ADEM's site for current requirements.
