Asbestos licensing in Kentucky
Kentucky requires a company to be certified by the Division for Air Quality when it removes set amounts of regulated asbestos-containing material in a year, or does renovation or demolition work in Jefferson County. People who perform regulated asbestos work, such as supervisors, workers, inspectors and project designers, must hold an individual license from the same division. Smaller jobs may fall below the company threshold. We did not find a public roster, so ask for the certification on record and check the division's site for current requirements.
