Radon licensing in New York
New York does not license or certify radon mitigation contractors, and the State Department of Health says it does not regulate radon services. The department suggests asking a contractor for proof of a professional credential, such as a national radon certification, and whether they follow industry standards. The department posts a list of firms certified through national programs or by New Jersey or Pennsylvania. Check the agency's site for current information.
