Lead licensing in Minnesota
Minnesota requires lead firms to be certified, and individual lead professionals to hold a license, from the Department of Health under the state's lead poisoning prevention law. The department says it is working on a state renovation program, so for now renovation, repair and painting that disturbs old paint falls under EPA's federal Lead-Safe program. The department offers contractor and individual license searches. Check the agencies' sites for current requirements.
