Asbestos licensing in Colorado

Colorado requires asbestos abatement above set trigger levels to be done by a contractor holding a General Abatement Contractor certificate from the Department of Public Health and Environment. The contractor must have a state-certified supervisor on site, and the workers, supervisors and inspectors involved need Colorado certification too, even for single-family homes. Ask the company for its certificate and your permit paperwork. We did not find a public roster, so check the department's site for current requirements and lookup options.
